Restaurant Kitchen-Pass Shutter Repair — Dublin

The challenge

The kitchen-pass shutter is in constant use during service and must open and close cleanly above a busy servery.

Work had to be carried out around service hours to avoid disrupting the restaurant.

What we did

• Inspected the shutter's barrel, guides and curtain to identify why it was sticking.
• Freed and adjusted the running gear so the shutter raised and lowered smoothly along its full travel.
• Tested repeated operation and confirmed the hatch could be secured and opened without effort.

The result

The kitchen pass was back to smooth operation, ready for the next service.

The servery can again be secured cleanly when the kitchen is closed.
